Thanks for continuing to find interest in the content of this site. It is pretty old now, but seems to be standing the test of time. I’m not sure if I will ever get into updating this site regularly, but figured I might as well move it to WordPress to make it easier to do. I am currently keeping an active blog related to outdoor topics like fly fishing and birding, but lots of other topics as well. Please visit http://www.undertheaspens.com. Coincidentally all of the graphics on that site were done with Fireworks 8 and I have decided to post any work I do in Fireworks here. Thanks again.
Yet another silly mash up for my blog. Takes the famous scene from Star Wars and spins it for political purposes. Help us Governor Herbert, You’re Our Only Hope for stopping HB141!
I drew this fly with Windows Paint to give it that old school video game 8-bit graphic feel (24-bit in this case). This is zoomed to show the shading on the hook and head.
Drawing of fly is a pencil sketch, scanned to Fireworks to add text. There is a backstory to this fly that can be read here www.undertheaspens.com/blog/2010/01/tying-tips-not-so-muc…
Fireworks from start to finish.
This was a combo of Inkscape to make the main vectors, particularly the leaf veins which were made with the tree render tool. It was then brought into Firefox and colored, etc.
